These men could return, could the police handle a similar massive attack?

Dear Editor,

I trust that the recent 14 men attack on the Sugrim family even though robbery was not the motive, will demonstrate to the powers that be that the police are ill equipped, undermanned and underpaid to effectively deal with any massive, well co-ordinated attack.

Raw intelligence available suggests that the attack was not a random one but one that was premeditated, well plan-ned and executed with military precision.

Further raw intelligence available suggests that the gang may be Cayenne based with Suriname connections, at least five of the men may be ex-military personnel acting on orders of a Suriname businessman.

Indication intelligence also suggests that one week prior strange men were seen in the vicinity of the Sugrim residence most likely surveying the premises and surroundings to determine certain logistics.

It is possible also that an advance party checked out the station strength and response capability of the Springlands Police Station. In view of the foregoing and the strong possibility that the men will return to complete their mission shortly I would recommend that the police special branch and the army intelligence be fully activated in order to be more proactive to deal effectively with the imminent return of the gang.

My agencies the Central Bureau of Intelligence and Security and the Confidential Investigations Bureau even though not very well liked by the police administration is prepared in the interest of national security to assist in the area of intelligence gathering.

Yours faithfully,

Robert Gates
